Audience: Adult

Description:  

Take your playwriting to the next level in this advanced workshop designed for returning students or experienced writers. Through focused prompts, peer feedback, and thoughtful discussion, you'll deepen your understanding of structure, dialogue, and character development. Each session introduces new tools to help you refine your craft and build a portfolio of original short plays. Come ready to write, collaborate, and grow.  

Designed for those who have participated in this class in the past. 

Artist Bio: 

David is a director, actor, writer, and educator. He considers Terrific New Theatre his artistic home, where he directed "Sunday in the Park with George," which opened TNT's new space in 2024. He has also directed at Birmingham Children’s Theatre, Theatre Downtown, and Red Mountain Theatre. He has assistant-directed at regional theatres across the country, from Florida to Connecticut. David was awarded the 2024-2025 Theatre Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
