Description: 

Discover the fundamentals of playwriting in this introductory workshop designed for new and aspiring playwrights. Through engaging prompts, group discussion, and collaborative exercises, we'll cover everything you need to know to start writing compelling stories for the stage. By the final session, you’ll have a polished scene or short one-act play. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to write. 

Perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their creative process.

Artist Bio:

David is a director, actor, writer, and educator. He considers Terrific New Theatre his artistic home, where he directed "Sunday in the Park with George," which opened TNT's new space in 2024. He has also directed at Birmingham Children’s Theatre, Theatre Downtown, and Red Mountain Theatre. He has assistant-directed at regional theatres across the country, from Florida to Connecticut. David was awarded the 2024-2025 Theatre Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
